Laptopical.com, The Laptops Weblog!

A few days ago one of my friends introduced me a good web site dedicated to notebook reviews and news. Laptopical.com is very simple and clean web site at first glance but in fact this cleanness and simplicity are its powerful weapons.

As I found out, and Laptopical guys said in their about page, Laptopical is “The Laptops Weblog” in which you can find very good reviews and news about notebook technology. This approach (writing news and reviews as blog posts instead of long and complicated technical articles) helps web site visitors to find the information easily. You can feel this if you challenged with other notebook review web sites that need at least 4 clicks to reach the required content. (Since I purchased a new VAIO notebook a few weeks ago and I had been challenging with such web sites, I feel the real pain ;-)).

Laptopical

In a glimpse, Laptopical content is categorized to these main sections:

  1. Laptop Reviews: You can read good reviews of new notebooks and other mobile life technologies here. A good (less than 30 words) brief introduction followed by technical specification (Processor, Hard Disk, Memory, etc.), pros and cons, similar products, and a full review (including pictures of each product) and finally link(s) to online stores which offer that product are what you can get in each review.
  2. Best Laptops: Are you a professional user? So you need the best! You can find the most prominent brands and models in this page. Every laptop has price and links to online store(s).
  3. Cheap Laptops: Not enough money available?!! There are some cheap models for you too ;-) Try this page if you need cheap laptops.
  4. Laptop News: Be the first to know!! Wanna know fresh news in mobile life technology world? Take a look at Laptopical news titles or add their RSS feed to your favorite reader.

If you are interested in some special brands there are categorized pages for each brand too. For example you can find Acer notebooks review in "Acer Notebooks" section.

One of the other cool sections of Laptopical is its “Laptop Buying Guide” in which you can find good advices and technical guide to buy a notebook.

From technical point of view, design in pretty and clear and fast for low bandwidth connections, URLs are SEO friendly and feedback (or comment) section in each page lets users participate in web site activities.
